Description
Collection of cookery receipts, with a few household and medical receipts. The 8 ll. at the end contain pasted-in receipts, cuttings from newspapers, etc. by different and later hands. Among these is a medical prescription for Mrs. Whitworth written by John Moss Kirkman, M.D. [ -1876] of the Royal Infirmary, Manchester, dated Feb 18th, 1841. Inscribed on the first leaf 'Whitworth. June 8th. 1822'. On p. 213 is a reference to 'now Oct. 1826'.
