Burattino, H.

Collection of medical receipts in alphabetical order of diseases; at the end some cookery and miscellaneous receipts: in Italin and Latin. There are some added receipts by later hands, one of which is dated 1732. On the fifth leaf of the last section, at the end of a receipt for 'Pulvis Cornac[c]-hini', is a note 'Scribebat hoc pro Amico (nempe Burattino) Joannes Baptista. dezima hora. die 27 Martii 1650'. Many of the receipts have the names of their authors added, who are mainly late 16th cent. and early 17th cent. Physicians. On the verso of the last leaf, and in the lower margin of other leaves, are the intials H.B.
