Wallin, Hans Friedrich

Artzny Buch uss einem allten wolbewärten Kunstbuchli zusamen gebracht. A number of leaves in the middle of the volume are blank. On the verso of the first leaf is written 'Beschryben durch mich hanns fridrich Wallin vogt zu falckenstein. Anno 1587'. The original work seems to end on the 45th leaf. It is followed by a number of medical and veterinary receipts in German, by various 17th and 18th cent. hands. The first 4 leaves contain plague remedies. On the last leaf is the signature of 'Johann Victor Antoni Blutz der grossennrathi', by an 18th cent. hand. Produced in Falkenstein.

1 volume 4 ll. + 83 ll. 4to. 201/2 x 151/2 cm. Modern vellum binding. First leaf defective, last leaf damaged, both pasted down on to vellum fly-leaves from a 14th cent. service book.
