About this work

Description

Livre du Secret des Secrets ou la Clavicule de Salomon qui est le véritable Grimoire contenu en deux livres. Illustrated by numerous pen-drawn figures of sigils, talismans, etc. in red. The contents of this MS. differ somewhat from the texts usually ascribed to Solomon the King under the title of 'Clavicule'. In the present work the title given at the end of the preface (p. 6) is 'Secret des Secrets de Tozgraec'. These two magical treatises are discussed in Thorndike's 'History of Magic and Experimental Science' Vol. II, pp. 225-228.
