Description

Libro di secreti medicinali sopra cavalli ed altri animali ... On the title-page are the blazoned arms of Monticelli, within a large historiated decorative ornament. On the verso of the last leaf is a note of the birth of twin girls on 5 June 1669 who were baptised at St. Andrea's Church, but the place is not given. Book-plate showing a tree in a field in front of a rising sun; with motto 'Ma perseguir virtude e conoscenza'.

1 volume 184 pp. + 22 ll. 4to. 20 x 141/2 cm. T.p. on vellum. 19th cent. morocco binding with arabesque decorations in gold, and stamped on the sides with the arms of Monticelli. T.p. slightly damaged, and margins cropped.
