A Collection of old receipts

The original compiler, who wrote in a small upright hand, has dated several of the receipts 1686 (pp. 259, 274, 281). The other chief contributor apparently wrote in the first half of the 18th cent., the latest date being 1752 (p. 161). There are also a few additions by other 18th cent. hands. The receipts are mainly medical: a few entries are in Latin. The title-page reads as above.
