Summary

In contrast to L.1-192, these comments and evidence documents were not arranged into separate files or by subject, but were either found loose in boxes or grouped together in large files. A small number were extracted from files of non-archival value which have been destroyed. In most cases each sub-item only comprises the Society's official response. This is sometimes only a very brief letter. A small proportion also include related correspondence and papers and/or the document being commented on. In some cases, due to the lack of related papers, it is not possible to tell if the response was the final version, an early version, or a draft.
