RECEPTES aux maladies. A collection of medical, cosmetic, veterinary, cookery, and other receipts, by several hands: in French. There are two early foliations, one in Roman, the other in Arabic figures, both of which seem to be irregular: and one section iiiixx-C21 is misbound at the end. A new foliation in pencil has been made from which it appears that leaves are wanting after ff. 78, 121, 133, 135, 154, 161, 164. Ff. 3, 4 contain an index to the leaves originally foliated in Roman numerals. In the upper margin of the first leaf is a faded inscription 'Bibliotte[ca] [?] Sancti Andreae in Nemure [sic]. Fol. 7 contains a rough circular pen-drawing of the Elements, etc. Ff. 7v, 8 contain number tables, the latter dated 1548. In the lower margin of fol. 9 the name 'Blendecque' in a 16th cent. hand. On fol. 139: 'Monsieur Monsieur Le Réuérend Prélat de l'abbaye de St. André au Bois [?] présentemen[t] réfugié à Hesdin. Audict lieu.' by a middle 16th cent. hand.
