About this work

Description

A invitation from the Open University (BBC) to participate in the making of a new Open University programme on genetics.

Dr Roger R Jones wrote to Crick (27 January, 1975): "In the area of the course that involves the genetics of phage, bacteria and fungi we hope to provide the students with complementary television and radio programmes, for example, we hope to involve Seymour Benzer and possibly Dr Brenner in developing the story of the usefulness of the rII and the mapping of its fine structure."

Crick replied (27 February) that he was "prepared to give it a try" and hoped to "find a date in March to get together and discuss it."
