Letters (holograph, photocopied) from George Gamow to James Watson, the first letter to "Drs Watson and Crick" (8 July, 1953).

The file contains correspondence relating to the RNA Tie Club, including "the first official club circular" on "Rnatie Club" headed paper (motto: "Do or die, or don't try") listing the assignment of a unique amino acid tie-pin to each of the twenty members.
