Description

Correspondence regarding a visit to the Salk Institute, La Jolla, San Diego, for an Annual Meeting of Fellows, held 25-26 January, 1973.

Whilst much of the correspondence in the file concerns Crick's H-1 Visa, it also includes an exchange of letters with Seymour Benzer. On 26 October, 1972, Crick wrote to Benzer: "While I am writing could I ask you about the gene coding for myosin in Drosophila. I was rash enough to predict that the interband regions (in salivary chromosome) might contain the (major) coding sequences...."
