Description

Crick, Wilkins and Watson were jointly awarded the Lasker Award (1960), "for distinguished contributions to our understanding of the location of genetic information and of the means by which replication and mutation of genes may take place" (letter to Crick, 1 August, 1960). The Awards were presented at the annual meeting of the American Public Health Association, San Francisco, 3 November, 1960.

The file contains correspondence in relation to the Award, and a copy of Medical News Supplement (11 May, 1960) which has a feature on "The New Biology."
