Colour card advertising Ayer's Cherry Pectoral cough medicine. This was one of many that contained heroin. It was supposed to cure influenza, laryngitis, bronchitis, asthma, quinsy, catarrh and helped in cases of consumption. The card shows a rosy-cheeked young woman with a straw basket of cherries, a sprig of them in her left hand as she walks through a field with mountains and a lake in the distance on a sunny day. She is wearing a blue dress over a red skirt.
