Segment 1 The male patient's arm is anaesthetised. An x-ray of the fracture of the humerus is shown. The apparatus that will fix the position of the arm is shown. A doctor demonstrates the apparatus, which is made of wire splints. The apparatus is padded. It is put on the patient and fixed with bandages. Adhesive is applied. The patient is shown after two weeks, now being able to move his fingers, hand, elbow and shoulder. X-rays of before and after treatment are shown.
