Lettering

The Quilt ... it makes you think. The entire quilt covers an area larger than 12 football fields. It weighs more than 35 tons. One in four new HIV infections occurs in someone under 23 years old. The AIDS Memorial Quilt contains nearly 30,000 panels. Each panel measures 3 feet by 6 feet. Quilt panels are made by friends and families to remember people who have died of AIDS. Support for this poster was provided by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Copyright © 1994 The NAMES Project Foundation.
