About this work

Description

Possibly a leaflet advertising Prof. G.J. Allman's 'A monograph of the freshwater polyzoa, including all the known species, both British and foreign', published in 1856, from which the text seems to be taken. The reverse shows a line drawing of 'Cristatella' ("after G.J. Allman"). The leaflet also advertises a "Living specimen in tube, post free, two shillings and a mounted specimen of Statoblast, post free, 1s. 8d.
