This film shows the events of the first mass vaccination campaign in Western Europe using oral poliomyelitis vaccine. It also shows how the vaccine was prepared for use, and ends with an interview with the Medical Officer of Health for Kingston-Upon-Hull in which he discusses the campaign and the way the Public Health Department tackled the problem.
