Description
Collection of medical receipts, with some cookery receipts.
With additions by other and later hands. The greater part of the contents is by Felicia Whitfeld and later writers, but the MS. was originally started by Elizabeth Sleigh.
The pagination starts from Mrs. Sleigh's end of the volume, and on p. 75 we find 'Mrs. Felicia Whitfeld's Receipts, St. Albans, 8th August, 1722'.

Biographical note
At the end of the volume is 'An inventory of the Lady Sleighs bookes. May 12, 1647'. (3 pp.). Her library consisted of 52 items, mainly theological: but two medical works are included: 'Dr Mosan's practice of physicke' [i.e. Mosan's translation of Christopher Wirzung's book, first published in 1598], and 'Gwillimimeau's [sic] childbirth' [i.e. J. Guillemeau] first published in 1612.
