from which it will be seen that in the districts where the
need for information which can be obtained under the Act
is greatest the default in notification is correspondingly great.
Unfortunately, from some oversight, two Midwives and
one Doctor practising in the district received no notification
of the adoption of the Act, so that no notifications were
received from them since the Act came into force. If the
Act is to be of any service wider publicity of its adoption
should be given in the district.
Under the tentative arrangement made whereby the
Health Visitor sees only those cases attended by bona fide
midwives, only 39 cases have been sent since the Act came
into force.
