21 occurred in the Whitechapel District, or at the rate of .33 per 1,000
of the population.
The death-rate for the whole Borough was at the rate of .14 per 1,000 of the
population.

In 1915, 1,335 new cases were notified, of which 1,051 referred to Pulmonary
Tuberculosis or Consumption of the Lungs. For these cases we received 2,670
notifications. There were, therefore 1,335 duplicate certificates, or an average of 2
certificates for each case.
