except Bristol, and in 1900 a lower infant mortality than any except Bristol and Bradford.

During the year 1900, the eastern group of districts had the highest infant mortality (175), the
northern the lowest (145); the infant mortality of the southern, central and western groups being 158.
Of the districts Holborn had the highest (240), and Hampstead the lowest infant mortality (100).
