About this work

Also known as

Artificial respiration by the HN method.

Description

An instructional film describing the Holger Nielsen [HN] method of artificial respiration, using a combination of pressure on the back, and movements of the arm. The films starts with striking line animation of rather a macabre nature (for example, a representation of hanging). Detailed footage demonstrates the procedures which are to be followed on a single patient, by a team of male Danish Red Cross volunteers in a gymnasium; by a group of school girls on the side of a swimming pool.
