Notes

"In April 2016 the Wellcome Trust organised an international multidisciplinary summit bringing together policymakers and researchers from more than 30 countries to discuss theevidence underpinning a range of AMR policy interventions. The summit concluded that, even if some evidence gaps remain, meaningful actions need to be taken immediately to counter antimicrobial resistance, with individual countries tailoring implementation according to their particular national circumstances. The summit identified three specific areas spanning human health and agriculture where urgent action is required, as well as areas where further research is needed to facilitate local implementation of policy interventions or to support the development of longer-term solutions." -- summary.
