Lettering

A rude flower painted with rude feelings like joy and anger. My mother did not allow my self-assertion at all or answering back. As I had no brothers & sisters I was unable to speak at all or have being. My mother only likes violets. She thinks lilac is rude. I like magnolias. May 67. M.H. Bishop The subject, the name of the artist and the date are inscribed by Edward Adamson on the verso
