Notes

Letterpress text below engraving of horse with 60 numbered seats of diseases.
An ox sheet with similar imprint (Milan: Maria Furiani) and date 1794 is described in J.-B. Huzard (Catalogue des livres, 1842), v. 3, 3089.
Text is largely based on L. Rusio, and follows the same order as that in P. Caracciolo's 'La gloria del cavallo' and F. Grisone's 'Ordini di cavalcare'. This order is also followed in a sheet published in Florence in 1804 ('Infermità dei cavalli e suoi rimedi').
