Bndg: Bound with other works Note: Andrew Wilson studied in Edinburgh and was a Fellow of the College. He wrote this book as an aid to those lecturing on the diseases of children. He stressed the need for teaching of children's diseases as part of medical training, and is said to be the first in Britain to advocate this in print. Wilson was lecturing on this subject himself, and had felt that a text such as this was needed. A colleague of George Armstrong at the Dispensary for Infant Poor, he hoped that the Dispensary would give him another opportunity for teaching; however, it closed soon afterwards
