Notes

This public information film made by the COI was created to prepare members of the public for surviving a nuclear war. A leaflet was distributed with the same title (examples are in the Wellcome Library) but the video was initially suppressed. It later surfaced and is used in excerpts in the BBC drama 'Threads' which follows the fate of a group of people from Sheffield close to where a nuclear bomb hits.
One of three sections which have been selected for the completion of the cataloguing of the Medact archive SA/MED and a symposium held at the Wellcome Trust in June 2014.
This video was made from material preserved by the BFI National Archive
