About this work

Description

Many army bases during the Second World War were established in places where mosquitoes were abundant. Malaria control was crucial to prevent re-introduction of malaria to both military and civilians in the area. DDT, an insecticide was used to spray the huts. The city of Annaba was known as Bône when under French rule
