About this work

Description

11 papers both written and co-written by G. R.Wyatt containing results and conclusions from his experiments on nucleic acid samples taken from a wide range of organisms. These papers largely cover investigations in to the molecular nature, composition and function of DNA and have been either extracted or re-printed from The Biochemical Journal, Nature, Experimental Cell Research, The Journal of General Physiology and Annales de L'Institut Pasteur. The areas of G. R. Wyatt's research covered in these papers are his quantitative analysis of the molar proportions of bases in DNA and his confirmation and identification respectively of 2 additional pyrimidine bases, 5-methylcytosine and 5-hydoxymethylcytosine, being present in certain DNA samples.
