Description

Correspondence between Haldane and M J Sirks of the University of Groningen regarding arrangements for Haldane to give a series of lectures on genetics at the University in March 1939. Also includes correspondence between Haldane and P J van Rhijn, Rector Magnificus of the University of Groningen, regarding arrangements for the lectures and for Haldane to travel to the Netherlands.

Includes correspondence between Haldane and Th. Stomps of Hortus Botanicus, Amsterdam, regarding Haldane's visit.

Also includes three letters between Haldane and M J Sirks dated 1946 regarding the conferment of the honorary degree of Doctor of Science on Haldane by the University.
