About this work

Description

Correspondence relating to arrangements for Haldane and Helen Spurway's attendance at the 11th International Ornothilogical Congress held in Basel, Switzerland, 29 May - 5 June 1954. Primarily consists of correspondence between the conference organisers and Haldane's secretary regarding fees and accomodation arrangements, and between Haldane's secretary and Thomas Cook & Son Ltd regarding travel arrangements.

Includes handwritten drafts and typescript copies of papers on the estimation of bird death rates by Haldane; timetables for Air France, British Railways and British European Airways and two copies of the Congress announcements.
