Reel 2 This film has sepia intertitles. It starts with an intertitle; "Getting fit is a whole time job". The following colour footage shows men, two with broken legs, one with a broken arm in casts catching and throwing a ball over a net. A group of elderly Sikh men watch them (although it is unclear whether they are patients or kitchen staff). Next, various competitive games are held. A nurse watches, chatting to a man. The men practice bowling then some fun games. Gardening is also offered (the allotments back onto terraced housing alongside the hospital). Inside there are exercise bikes for the men to use. There's also table tennis and an amusing obstacle race. Catering is shown and then finally the patient, Abel Seaman, who has recovered returns to work. The intertitle "Getting fit is a whole time job" is repeated. Time start: 00:00:00:00 Time end: 00:05:59:00 Length: 00:05:59:00
