Cholmley, Nathaniel ( -1791)

Collection of medical, veterinary, cookery, and domestic receipts, added to the end of a printed copy of John Theobald's 'Every man his own physician'. Third edition. London: W. Griffin. 1764. The receipts are dated from 1777 to 1790, and have additions by other hands; there are also six inserted receipts by various hands. At the end are copies of medical receipts prescribed for the Compiler and his family. The name 'Nathaniel Cholmley' is stamped on the title-page of Theobald's work.

1 volume 4 ll. + 48 pp. + pp. 49-144 x 12 ll. 8vo. 20 x 12 cm. Original calf binding with two metal clasps. The pagination is carried on from that of the printed work.
