A booke or Phisicke, Surgery, Preserves and Cookery, with sondry other excellent Receipts. Text within red rules. The receipts contained in this MS. are almost entirely medical. Written by several hands of the first half of the 17th cent. On fol. 252v, and fol. 253 signature of Thomas Carter.

Original stamped calf binding, with gilt arabesque central ornament on each cover, worn. Each cover with 4 brass corner pieces: two brass and leather clasps. First 6 ll. frayed in the margins.
