Description
Case notes, case histories, patient cards, including pertaining materials (e.g. referral letters, patient letters and manuscripts, statistics). More than two thirds are in Krafft-Ebing's own handwriting. The notes differ greatly in length, from a few words to some 100 pages, and are on a great variety of psychiatric diagnoses. A unique part of this section is formed by patients' reports on the nature and history of their illnesses and sufferings ("autobiographies"), often prompted by reading Psychopathia sexualis.
