Description
Collection of cookery, medical and other receipts. On the first leaf 'Mary Clerke her Booke'. The first three leaves and the last leaf contain medical receipts and titles of religious books, written by an early 17th cent. hand, perhaps that of Mrs. Barbara Dicke, whose signature is found on the verso of the last leaf.

1 volume 38 ll. + 80 bl. ll. + 1 l. 4to. 19 x 141/2 cm. Original calf-gilt binding, stamped on both covers in gold with a lion rampant crowned, within a lozenge.
