Description

Speaking notes, correspondence (and itinerary) regarding a Visiting Professorship in the Department of Chemistry, Aarhus University, Aarhus, Denmark, for the period 1 July - 30 September, 1977.

According to the correspondence, Crick delivered the following lectures:

"A Chemist's Introduction to Molecular Genetics" (6 September);

"The Origin of Life: Directed Panspermia" (8 September);

"DNA, Yesterday and Today" (12 September);

"Chromatin - Introduction" (14 September);

"Chromatin - Recent Developments" (15 September).

The file includes three sets of speaking notes (holograph) as follows:

"A Chemist's Introduction to Molecular Genetics" (13 sheets, dated 6 September);

"Chromatin" (6 sheets, dated 14 September);

"X-ray diffraction" (3 sheets, dated 15 September);

and "Supercoiling of DNA" (4 sheets, undated, attached to the "X-ray diffraction notes" although the numbering does not follow).
