About this work

Description

Correspondence with Maurice Wilkins. The bulk of the file comprises correspondence and related material occasioned by Tai Te Wu (1969), "Secondary structures of DNA," Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci., 63 (1969) 400-405 (which maintained that the DNA molecule at 92% relative humidity is a four-stranded helix), together with a copy (typescript) of Wilkins, Wilson and Hamilton, "Secondary Structure of DNA," refuting Wu's contention. See also PP/CRI/D/2/11/2 and PP/CRI/H/1/42/4.
