About this work

Description

Two typescripts (with Figures) by A R Lang, namely "Diffraction Pattern of Canadian Porcupine Quill" and "Notes on the Structure of a-Keratin". The covering letter (18 August, 1953) to Crick from Lang begins: "After I wrote to you I found no further opportunity of spending any time on the a-keratin business till very recently, and I still have not completed the calculations. However I thought you might be interested to see the results of some measurements on Canadian porcupine quill which I have just made, these are enclosed." The letter continues with comment on Crick (1953), "The strength of the 10Å reflexions in haemoglobin".
