Description

Correspondence with Dr Alexander Rich, and others, concerning a dispute between Rich (MIT, Cambridge, Massachusetts) and Aaron Klug and colleagues (MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology, Cambridge, UK) over discovery of the structure of transfer RNA. Details of the dispute were reported in New Scientist (19 September, 1974, pp. 709, 738), photocopy in file. Also included is a pre-print of Rich et al (1974), "The three-dimensional tertiary structure of yeast phenylalanine transfer RNA" and publisher's proofs of Klug et al (1974), "Conservation of the molecular structure of yeast phenylalanine transfer RNA in two crystal forms," Pro. Nat. Acad. Sci. USA, 71: 9.
