Dieser, erstmals in Kärnten stattfindende "Tag ohne Kunst", soll ein Symbol für den Umfang der Verluste an Leben sein und an die Tragödie unerfüllter Verheissungen erinnern. Gerade die Kunstwelt ist von der Seuche AIDS sehr stark betroffen. Die Kärntner AIDShilfe dankt für die Mitarbeit: Dem Land Kärnten, der Stadt Klagenfurt, der Stadt Villach, allen Kunst und Kulturverantwortlichen, allen Gallerien und Museen, und Allen, die diese Aktion unterstützen und die Verwirklichung des ersten Tages ohne Kunst ermöglicht haben.
