Souvenir postcard showing Ralph Krooner, the Elephant Skin Man or Elephant Skin Boy. He reputedly developed his skin condition when his mother was scared by stampeding elephants at the circus while she was pregnant with him. The card would probably have been sold as a souvenir at places where he was exhibited as part of a freak or variety show. Handwriting on the back indicates this one may have been bought at Plattsbury, New York.
