Contents

Segment 1 An incision is made in the lower abdomen. The recti muscles are incised and separated. The exposed peritoneal fold is dissected. The intertitles note that particular care must be taken in this step. The bladder is opened. Time start: 00:00:00:00 Time end: 00:06:32:04 Length: 00:06:32:04
Segment 2 A catheter is sutured into position in the bladder. The bladder is closed and dressing applied. The postoperative abdomen is shown with the catheter extending from the incision. It is also shown when the catheter has been removed. The intertitles note that this procedure is equally successful 'in cases with excessively fat abdomens', and that it is a simple and safe procedure.
