Contents

Segment 1 Titles, followed by intertitle which tells how two patients had developed large purplish lesions on their ankles after visiting an endemic area of sleeping sickness in West Africa. The rash is shown and examined two months later when the patients have returned to England. It covers mostly the torso. A clinician (presumably Murgatroyd who briefly appears) examines the men and a diagnosis is made of Gambian trypanosomiasis following blood culture examination on a slide which is shown. End titles.
