Description

Sheet music for a polka with full page advertisement for Perry Davis' (vegetable) Pain Killer, as manufactured by Perry Davis & Son, Providence, R.I. (from 1840) and distributed in the UK by John M. Richards, Great Russell Street Buildings, London. It includes a portrait of Perry Davis. Front cover shows three oval cartoons of a small bell boy in a dark suit and a middle aged man in a dressing gown, both in pain. The man pours medicine into a glass and then they are both well and dancing in the final frame. Illustrations signed with a WV or VW monograph.
