Reverses the original woodcut published as the second skeleton plate to Andreas Vesalius De humani corporis fabrica libri septem, published in Basel in 1543. In the original, the skeleton rested the bones of his outstretched arm on a skull, absent in this copy. The inscription on the tomb has been replaced by the relief of an urn and a swag
